Abstract

Implementation of National Character Education in Islamic Boarding Schools for Students at State Islamic Religious Universities. This study aims to reveal the implementation of national character education in Islamic boarding schools students of the State Islamic Religious University. This research is carried out using a qualitative approach with the type of field research (field research) with data collection techniques using Interview, Observation and Documentation Techniques. The research subjects or informants in this research are the administrators of Islamic boarding schools for students and students in Indonesia. The results showed that the implementation of national character education in Islamic boarding schools students of the State Islamic Religious University was not structured in the curriculum (hidden curriculum). There are various patterns in the implementation of national character education in Islamic State Islamic Religious University student boarding schools, namely (1) with tausiah carried out by every Muslim or ustadz teaching the yellow book to provide material about nationalism and unstructured nationalism, (2) character education patterns Nationalism at Mahad al-Jamiah PTKIN is implemented other than through tausiyah mukaddimah or on the sidelines of the yellow book recitation, it is also applied to the commemoration of national holidays, (3) is carried out using the uswah method or giving examples, exemplary from mudir, caregivers to paramedics. the converts, even the murabbis/murabbiah and musyrif/musyrifah.
