The Role of Training and Competency Development in Improving Employee Productivity: A Case Study at UMKM Bintang Snack Demak. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of training in improving employee productivity at Bintang Snack Demak MSME, identify challenges in implementing training programs, and formulate competency development strategies for business sustainability. Using qualitative field methods, data were collected through in-depth interviews with business owners, employees, and external trainers, as well as direct observation of the training process and business operations. Data analysis was conducted thematically to explore the relationship between training, employee productivity, and business sustainability in the context of MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that structured and relevant training has succeeded in improving employee work efficiency, product quality, and business competitiveness. However, challenges such as budget constraints, limited access to professional trainers, and employee time constraints are significant obstacles. This study recommends e-learning-based competency development strategies, collaboration with external training institutions, and strengthening the learning culture in the organization to support business sustainability. Suggestions for Bintang Snack MSMEs are to ensure that training is carried out sustainably, adjusted to market needs, and involves all stakeholders to achieve optimal results.
